Aerolineas Tico Tracking Thread



Aerolineas Tico is an international airline based out of San Jose’s Juan Santamaria International Aeropuerto (SJO) and Liberia’s Liberia International Aeropuerto (LIR). We have flights to most major places in Europe and the US, as well as many regional inter-tico flights and short international flights.



Our fleet contains of multiple aircraft varying from short distance hopper, to a long distance hauler.

Passenger Aircraft

  1. Embraer EMB-120
    The EMB-120 is the pride of our fleet and serves on our short routes within Costa Rica, as well as some longer flights to the US and other countries surrounding Costa Rica. The aircraft has two configurations: 12 enonomy seats, 5 business seats, and 2 first class seats; or 20 economy seats and 5 business seats.

  2. Embraer ERJ-135
    The ERJ-135 operates flights three times daily to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport from Liberia. It has 17 economy seats, 6 business class seats, and 2 first class seats.

  3. Embraer ERJ-145
    The ERJ-145 is based in San Jose and flies medium-ranged hops around Central America. It has 21 economy seats, 9 business class seats, and 3 first class seats.

  4. Dash-8 Q200
    The DH8B is based in Liberia and flies on domestic routes from Liberia (LIR) to Palmar (PMZ). The seating configuration is one-class with 22 business seats.

  5. ATR-42-500
    The ATR serves two routes between San Jose and Cancun Cozumel (CZM), and between San Jose and Bogota (BOG). It has 21 economy seats, and 10 business class seats.

  6. Aerospatiale Caravelle 12
    The Caravelle 12 is an old aircraft that flies between San Jose, Belize City, and Kingston. It has 112 economy seats and 10 businiss class seats.

  7. A319-100LR
    The A319-100LR flies from San Jose to London Heathrow (LHR), and from Liberia to Paris Orly (ORY). It has 84 economy seats and 28 business class seats.

  8. A320-200
    The A320-200 focuses on our longer intercontinental flights, to the United States and Mexico, as well as Bogota. It has two configurations: 95 economy seats, 33 business class seats, and 6 first class seats; or 61 economy seats, 33 business class seats, and 14 first class seats.

  9. A321-200
    The A321-200 flies from San Jose to San Jose (SJC), and San Jose to Houston (IAH). It has 76 economy seats, 40 business class seats, and 17 first class seats.

  10. 787-8
    The 787-8 operates most of our long haul flights, from San Jose to London (LHR), from San Jose to Paris (ORY), and from San Jose to Tokyo (NRT). It also operates shorter flights to the United States. It has 233 economy seats, 54 business class seats, and 12 first class seats.

  1. 737-700F
    The 737-700F (freighter) flies to Toronto (YYZ) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to transport cargo. It can hold up to 18 tonnes of cargo.

Aerolineas Tico is -round to announce a new 19 hour flight from San Jose (SJO) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) operated by our 787-8. To operate this route, we have made a purchase for two (2) new 787-8s that will arrive in the next week! We hope to see you flying with us!

Fleet Update

We have purchased and delivered four (4) new Embraer EMB-120s for our hub at Liberia. We will increase our local services out of Liberia as a result of this.

Man 19 hour flight man the longest flight I got is 17:45
